2000 – Genesis of Jax Wax
After a brief stint working in the USA, both Tina and Geoff decided that they no longer wanted to be employees but wished to start their own business.
Jax Wax was established by Tina and Geoff Copland in their kitchen in October of 2000 and named after their son, Jack.
2000 – Our First Product
In the days when corks were preferred to the screw cap for sealing wine bottles, wax was required to seal the bottle and this was to be Jax Wax’s first product, sealing wax for the wine industry. However the point of difference was the way it was produced and packaged.
2000 – Alliances Created and Production Began
Setting up in a friend’s factory, a prototype bead making machine was designed and built by Geoff and production of Jax Wax’s bottle sealing wax in pellet form began. It was then sold to a wholesaler in the wine industry selling bottles, corks and packaging.
